I have chosen a few of my favourite photos for these two pages. They aren’t necessarily the best pictures I’ve ever taken but are here simply because I like them or because they mean something to me.

  1. That gull with the bail photo is definitely one of the best you have taken. But I am very interested to know what the Makhaya Ntini means to you..or why you like it. Was it the day he got his 10 at Lords?

    • To be honest, Purna, I do just LIKE it, mostly because I think he looks so serene here. He’s a cricketer I’ve admired for a long time & I’m still fan-girly enough to get a little thrill when I see big name players live at a match! Also it was when I was still quite new to photographing cricket & I thought it was quite a good shot for me! Incidentally, it was taken during the 4th Test at The Oval, which wasn’t a particularly significant Test for him, though it was for me as it was the first time I met Jarrod, Mims, 668 & some other friends. We bonded during the rain!!

  2. Hi Sarah,

Just wanted to say thanks for the regular Kent related photos I have been using as wallpapers for a while now. There are some great shots and you are obviously very talented. Hope that doesn’t sound patronising!

  3. Wow,
that photograph of the gull with a bail is amazing. It would make a brilliant poster.
Good that you have watermarked it. I am so tempted to download to use as my desktop.

  4. Hi Sarah, Wonderful Photos, especially the gull. I was at the game, in the members pavilion behind the site-screen and this is the best picture I have seen of the incident. Its a pity it was not filmed. I looked at Australian news websites at the time and only two things were newsworthy regarding the game. First the Red Arrows flying over (you missed that 🙂 )and second the gull.

    • Thanks for your comments – I really appreciate them. And actually I DID get a shot of the Red Arrows!
