Finals Day 2010: The Other Stuff

Finals Day 2010 – the non action shots. All taken on a 200mm lens as I wasn’t allowed to take my 300mm one with me. The focus isn’t perfect on some because it was night & I was shooting at a distance without a flash but I wanted to include them anyway.

Hampshire Royals v Essex Eagles / Somerset Sabres v Notts Outlaws / Hampshire Royals v Somerset Sabres

The Rose Bowl, 14 August 2010

“Steward, steward, give us a wave?!”

Kieran Pollard, Somerset Sabres, in the rain at the end of the second semi final

Not Bashful or Happy etc but Martin the Dwarf! (he’s actually normal height!)

After the first semi final…..

This shot is completely unedited, other than very slightly cropped.

One of the Somerset coaches (apologies for not knowing his name!)

A very happy Jimmy Adams, Hampshire Royals

Victorious Hampshire Royals: Simon Jones, Chris Wood, Michael Bates, Dan Christian

  2. Superb! Really gives a flavour of the day (especially like the dwarf on the phone!). When the Hants players were lining up to collect the trophy you must have only been a few yards away from me!

    • Martin the Dwarf was great value! I love the ones of him because he was so cheeky. What a shame I didn’t realise that. Was so lovely seeing you again yesterday. x

  3. Brilliant Sarah – those photos sum up our day completely and the essence of the finals for everyone. Shame you didn’t have a wider angled lens for Snow White’s second photo!

    • Thank you! That’s very flattering coming from you. And yes – the photo that couldn’t be. Only in our memories!

  4. Brilliant photographs, as ever, Sarah! So glad you were able to take a camera!! Snow White looks pretty feisty…and the discarded flags make a very powerful statement! Thank you!
