  2. So who is this ringer Strauss then? Can he bat a bit?

    Comment by Steve Wheatley — June 22, 2011 @ 11:48 am

  3. Arul,
Do you really think that beard will get you a gig in the Yeovil Players Am Dram production of Thriller?

  4. Auditions for Somerset Stars in their Eyes were going well. Both attempts at Status Quo and Bono were praised, but the judges felt that Destiny’s Child and Bros still needed a bit of work.

  5. Tresco reads riot act after discovering players ’10 point plan to sabotage Strauss’ – showing particular anger over the ‘run him out’ policy, the poorly aimed chin-high glove-punch between overs, the wearing of grinning Zaheer Kahn face masks, and the constant singing whenever he’s on strike of “We’m come up from Zummerzet where the zoider apples grow”

  6. Once again Arul Suppiah went out in the first round of Somerset’s pre-match musical statues warm up.

  8. “We’ve got so many bloody cliques we can’t even form a huddle!”

    Comment by John Halliwell — June 26, 2011 @ 8:54 am

  9. Trescothick’s attempt to cleverly disguise his identity with sunglasses in order to sneak anonymously onto the field did not go to plan and the Kent players easily recognised him.
